Hi all! So did you have a great 4th of July? We had a pretty low-key day here. We were doing yard work and got a nice surprise phone call from my BIL saying he, my SIL, and their baby girl were in town and asked if they could come hang out with us at the house. Um...yes!!!!! LOVE their baby! She is 10 weeks old, and is fussy due to a sensitive tummy, but it's nothing that lots of hugs and snuggles from Aunt Nancy can't fix!
Had the best time just visiting with them, and then headed into our sleepy little nearby town of Melba (about 10 miles away) for fireworks. The town gets overrun by massive hordes of people that drive from all over the greater Boise area just to see the town's famous firework display every 4th of July. Literally FIFTEEN THOUSAND people converge on a tiny town of a few hundred! We've learned our lesson the hard way about the crowds there on the 4th, in that you do NOT drive your vehicle all the way into town and then try to leave after the fireworks are finished because you will be waiting in a line of cars for three hours! Instead, we parked at the edge of town about 45 minutes before the fireworks started, dropped the top on the convertible to watch the show, and then left early to avoid the giant crowds. Easy in, easy out! We've got it down to a science.
In honor of the holiday, I did an "All-American" page for Scraptastic Club using the June 2015 "Can't Go Home" main kit and add-on that was featured on their blog HERE. I simply pulled out the red/white/blue products from the kit and added them as layered circles in a grid pattern on my page.

Truth be told, I planned on sticking that journaling tag nice and square-like on my page, but it went wonky in my printer and the text printed crooked. What to do? Stick the tag to the page in an even-more-wonky fashion to make it look like the crooked text was done on purpose.
Fun circles!
More circles. Lots and lots of circles. I started to run out of circle ideas toward the end of the page! Thank goodness there were only 17 circles I had to embellish.
The pic on the page is from a trip that Andy and I took to NYC last summer for his business. We had the BEST time!
To me, one of the most iconic symbols of America is the Statue of Liberty. There is nothing like seeing her in person in the New York Harbor! Truly something every American should see, IMO. :)
Since I still had soooo many products leftover from the kit, I created another page that is a little less "All-American". In fact, it's NOT-AT-All-American. It's all Greek to me! :)

The pics are from our trip to Greece last fall for our anniversary. :) We had been staying in Athens, and decided to get out of the city and take a little day trip thru the Peloponnese region. I was supposed to be navigating while Andy drove, but I COULD NOT figure out the road signs or map! So Andy ended up stopping frequently to read the map and road signs himself. If he had not been familiar with the Greek alphabet (it is used in advanced math- something i am NOT familiar with), we would have been lost for sure!
