So you may have noticed that I haven't blogged in like, forever!
So before I go into my explanation for the absence, I want to share a couple of pages I did over at Scraptastic!
YOU ROCK
Close-ups:
This page was for a blog challenge over at Scraptastic where I challenged readers to use 5 different sized circles in five different patterned papers. LOVE how my example page of Miss Anna turned out! BTW, she is a lean, mean, selfie-taking machine!
Want to see another fun page?
DORM LIVING
Close ups:
A week after the hubs took Ashley up to college and helped her move into her dorm, Anna and I drove up to see her. I was shocked at how small the dorms are! As Freshmen, they are REQUIRED to stay in the dorms. Poor kids! Just look at that tiny room!
The banner and star stamp in the kit were perfect for echoing the collegiate theme I had going on with this page. The little tags, flair and arrow paperclip from the kit added the perfect finishing touches, don't you think?
Here is another look at the "We Will Rock You" September 2014 kit:
The bright yellows, greens, turquoise and blues were great to work with, although I was not too excited about the orange in the kit, at first. And there was a LOT of orange! But the thing about being on the DT is that you are forced to think outside the box and use products you may have not gone out and purchased initially. And you know what? Now I am in love with orange!

So why the absence for September?
Besides getting Miss Ashley all settled up at college, Miss Anna starting her busier-than-ever life as a Junior in HS, there was something else important that took up a LOT of my time. :)
I spent two amazing weeks in Greece with the hubs for our 20th anniversary!! Did I say "amazing"? Yeah, amazing! Can I just say that I am one lucky girl?
But getting there was something else entirely! The hubs had already been gone for over a month doing work in Northern Sweden (he flew out the day after he moved Ashley into her dorm at college). So before I flew to meet him in Athens, I had to arrange everything to run smoothly here at home while both he and I were out of the country (teenager, dogs, cats, yard, house, mail, etc). Scrapping was NOT high on the list of "must do's". There were a LOT of glitches leading up to my leaving the country, and I found myself at the airport an hour late on departure day a total frazzled mess! But I made my flight and made it to Greece relatively unscathed.
Now I have been home for two weeks waiting for the hubs to finish up his work in Sweden so he can finally come home as well!
There is entirely too much to "show and tell" about our trip to Greece, so I will save that for another time. :)
Thanks for stopping by!
later,
