FACE PAINTING

We have started a tradition of spending Mother's Day with our dearest and closest friends at Sawtooth Winery for their Mother's Day Wine Tasting Event. 

One of the events they have is face painting for the kids. Our friends' little girl LOVED getting hers done! She is just so stinking cute!!!!!

While we were at California Adventure over New Years, I snapped this pic of Anna taking pics with her new Instax camera that she got for Christmas. :)

This spot in front of the lagoon across from Mickey's Fun Wheel in Paradise Pier is perfect for photos!

I Love how this page turned out, don't you?!

I lightly traced the Mickey icon with a pencil, then used the sewing machine to stitch right over the top of the pencil lines.

FAMILY

So i just had to do a couple pages about our adopted family! 

These two couples have accepted Andy and I into their family and it means so much to us! We do EVERYTHING with them, and always have the best time!!! They truly are family.

GO ON AN ADVENTURE

This past New Year's, we spent the holiday at the Disneyland Resort. We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel and spent time in both Disneyland and California Adventure.

HELLO FABULOUS

As much as I would love to only scrap Disney photos, I do, occasionally need ot scrap other photos as well. :) After all, I don't want future generations to think we lived at WDW 24/7.....although, I am not sure that would be a bad thing! 

So my other fave subjects are my girls. :)

I was looking thru Anna's facebook photos and found this selfie that she took that I just love. The girl is uber photogenic!

Soak Up The Sun

I am really enjoying summer right now and have probably soaked up a little TOO MUCH sun! (My sunburned nose is a testament to this). 

 If I could pick anywhere to be right at this very moment to enjoy my summer even more, it would be here:

These pics are from WDW's Typhoon Lagoon. We had the BEST time and I am dying to go back!!!

This page turned out a bit lighter than I originally planned. At Typhoon Lagoon, there are a lot of tropical, slightly darker-colored, jungl-ish themed things all around you. Once I started the page, it just kind of went this lighter direction. This turned out more "beachy" and not very "Lagoon-y", although that banner turned out pretty awesome!

A Perfect Day

The hubs and I are going to WDW again this fall with friends, so I decided that I better scrap more of my thousands of photos from past trips before I come home with a thousand more!

So lets get to it!

A PERFECT DAY

This photo was taken by my dear friend, Susan Stringfellow, in 2007 when we were in SoCal for the Craft and Hobby Association annual conference and trade show. We took a day and went to Disneyland and California Adventure. SOOOOO much fun!!!

For this page, I used buttons from Dear Lizzy and Basic Grey. Wood stars are from Studio Calico; background paper is Basic Grey and Lily Bee; other papers are Crate Paper and Echo Park; embellies are Basic Grey, Freckled Fawn, and more Echo Park. 

 I LOVE combining different manufacturers' products like I have here!

To me, that is where the challenge comes in. Each manufacturer has products that always match and are designed to just go together. Trust me, after being on just about every kind of design team out there, matchy match products can get a little boring. 

I love the challenge of combining product in new ways and styles.

So I feel that I need to share the reasons why I have been MIA for so long. 

Let me explain:

Due to health issues, (I was diagnosed with advanced stage Hashimoto's Disease) I stepped away from the scrapping and blogging world and tried to focus on my health and family. 

It was also Ashley's senior year, which meant she was crazy busy, and knowing she was leaving for college this fall, I wanted to spend as much time with her as possible.

 THEN, when I was feeling a bit better this past spring, the blog experienced some major "technical difficulties". It took about a dozen phone convos and lengthy e-mails with the Typepad support team to get all the kinks worked out.  

Thanks goodness everything is back to normal and the blog is up and running once again.

I truly do appreciate those who checked up on me during my months away from the blog. Your love and concern truly touched me. Your friendship and support over the years is truly the reason why I am back and better than ever!
