When was the last time you had fun? I don't mean ordinary fun. I mean, gut-busting, PIMP, laugh-so-hard-you-cry FUN?

When Andy and I get together with our friends, we have THAT kind of fun! Every summer for the past three years, we have been to the Savor Idaho Food and Wine Festival with our friends, and we ALWAYS have an extremely good time, and a LOT of fun. Probably the kind of fun that is frowned upon in certain circles, but we just don't give a damn. 

And we don't regret a single minute of it!

Sweet 16

Okay, so this photo was taken last year on Ashley's 16th b-day. It was a great day. :)

I just got around to scrapping it not too long ago. Isn't she gorgeous? LOVE this kid to bits!

Time 4 Tea

So what is your fave tea? Green, white, black, herbal, Rooibos, Yerba Mate, Chai?

While I like a good, rich cup of coffee in the morning, I also simply CANNOT go without a warm, soothing cup of tea at least once during my day- usually in the afternoon. I have always loved the spicy aroma of Chai, but lately, my tastes have changed, and I now prefer a white or herbal with fruity notes. :) 

My current faves are Blueberry Bliss, and Pineapple Kona, both from Teavana.

Key Lime

Some things just taste amazing.....like Key Lime pie, for instance. It is my fave!

Frozen treats are another bit of yumminess. Yes please!

And then, of course, everyone knows that dipping something in chocolate is a no-brainer when creating any decadent dessert. Come to mama! 

Sooooooo.....

One might assume that if one combines all of the above, creates an entire shop dedicated to this little frozen concoction, and places that shop in the heart of Key West, from which the very name of the citrus fruit that is the main ingredient in the treat you are peddling is derived from, then you have created a true "tri-fecta" of ultimate heavenly indulgence.

One would be very, very wrong.

DANGER- Falling Coconuts

The holidays hit and that's all she (I) wrote......literally!!!!

After a busy Thanksgiving season (we drove to Colorado where we had a great time with Andy's side of the family), Christmas hit like a whirlwind and we didn't really even have a chance to slow down! Then there were the parties and New Year's.....

Not to mention a BIG project I am doing for CardMaker Magazine and Annie's Attic (but more on that later). :)

Anywho, in January, Andy and I took a much needed vacation to the Florida Keys, just the two of us.

What a kick in the pants THAT was!!!! We stayed at the Marriott Key Largo Beach Club Resort (because Andy is all about staying in nice hotels). We snorkeled, chilled on the beach, had AMAZING food every. single. meal. drove all the way to Key West, and I even got a luxurious massage in a beach cabana!!!

Then when we got back to the mainland, we took an airboat tour thru the Everglades, and had the most amazing crab ever in Ft. Lauderdale!  

But never fear, I packed my trusty Canon Eos Rebel to all the above events, and have even managed to snap a few pics. 

That is where the above photo is from. The coconut sign was outside a restaurant that had "World Famous" key lime pie, and the background is a photo I took of the water when we were snorkeling. And yes....the water really was that color of blue!

Since I have a bad case of Spring Fever right now, I wanted to work on pages with happy colors, so it seemed fitting to do a few pages of the Florida trip.

I used quite a bit of 'Basic Grey' for this. Also threw in some 'Dear Lizzy' and 'Amy Tangerine'. The brown compass beneath the blue epoxy/wooden button is ancient 'The Girls' Paperie'. Cloud washi tape is from 'Bella BLVD' and is my FAVE pattern right now!
