Cocoa Daisy Crop Challenge #15

Last but not least!!!

This is the last page I will be posting that I created for the Cocoa Daisy Fall Crop. It was not the last page I "created", however. It fell somewhere in the middle of the mess on my desk. :)

For this challenge, we were supposed to use circles.......lots of circles. I even used papers with circles...punched into circles.  And those title letters have dots on them, another kind of circle. Oh, and I sewed circles onto my page. :) Ha!!!

Cocoa Daisy Crop Challenge #13

Before I share this page, I just have to say it is my least fave out of all the pages I made for the crop over at Cocoa Daisy. I just don't like this page. There I said it. 

I just was not feeling the mojo on this one. Yes, I like the brayer technique that Kim showed here, but I just do not love how mine turned out. Maybe too much pink/purple? I don't know, I just can't pin it down....

Anywho, here is my finished page.

Cocoa Daisy Crop Challenge #12

For this challenge at Cocoa Daisy, we were given five color palettes and told to choose one to use on our page.

The list of palettes is here.

I chose the first palette.  The page also had to have at least two photos and something "shiny" on it.

I used two of my favorite photos of the girls from our last trip to WDW. And of course, anyone who knows me also knows I put a hidden "Mickey" on all of my Disney pages. Can you find it?

Cocoa Daisy Crop Challenge #1

This was the very first challenge posted over at Cocoa Daisy for the fall crop, but it was one of the very last pages I completed.

I really struggled with the challenge's directions to create "movement" with the journaling. The journaling needed to literally "move" and/or not be written in a straight line.   

Then I remembered taking these photos of Anna and her friends while they were ice skating and actually "moving" (hence, the blurry middle photo), and the page just kind of went from there! The title even creates movement because it can be read the same from either the top or the bottom and "moves" in a circle.

The journaling is written in a spiral shape on a tag that tucks into the top of the page and can be "moved". So double movement points!

Cocoa Daisy Crop Challenge #11- ATC

For those of you who don't know what an ATC is, here is a good description:

 "ATC stands for "Artist Trading Card" and is defined as: miniature works of art about the same size as modern baseball cards or playing cards,[1] or 2.5" by 3.5" inches (63 mm × 89 mm), small enough to fit inside standard card-collector pockets, sleeves or sheets. Cards are produced in various media, including dry media (pencils, pens, markers, etc.), wet media (watercolor, acrylic paints, etc.), paper media (in the form of collage, papercuts, found objects, etc.) or even metals or cloth. The cards are usually traded or exchanged."

 For challenge #11 over at Cocoa Daisy, we were asked to create an ATC using  the following:

• paint or mist
• stamping
• 3 patterned papers
• fabric or stitching

Cocoa Daisy Crop Challenge #10

The challenge was to create a page without using any photos and to use five things from this list:

Acrylic paint/gesso/other acrylic mediums

I actually used six things from the list: paint, mist, markers, stamping, fabric, book pages.

Cocoa Daisy Crop Challenge #6

For this challenge over at Cocoa Daisy, we were supposed to do a page about something we have an abundance of in our lives.

After a road trip to a family reunion (Andy's side) in Illinois, we realized he has an "abundance" of family we had never met!!!

They were sooooo warm, welcoming and accepting of us. We were welcomed like the lost sheep back into the fold!!! We had the best time getting to know them, and are now planning on making regular visits.

Cocoa Daisy Crop Challenge #5

I LOVE sketches! They make creating a page sooooo much easier!

The photo on the page is of me and my good friends, Cassandra Cooper and Denise Thornton, from a spring trip to Hermiston, OR. I drove there, had luch with these two, and then Denise and I drove to Spokane, WA, to a Farm Chicks Antiques Show. Had a BLAST!

Cassandra designs paper for Echo Park, so of course, I simply HAD to use some of the gorgeous papers she designed!!!

Cocoa Daisy Crop Challenge #2

So for this challenge over at Cocoa Daisy, we had to create chevrons. Love me some chevrons! :)

I used this fave photo of Anna's cat, Shadow, for my page. And he literally is her shadow! He follows her everywhere!!!

To create my chevrons, I cut 1" squares from patterned paper, cut them at a diagonal and added them to my page in a sort of "brick layered" fashion. I machine stitched the "seams" so they were not as visible.

I also used my Pazzles Inspiration electronic cutter to cut out the little paw prints from my flags under the photo.

Cocoa Daisy Crop Challenge #4

The crop over at Cocoa Daisy is officially closed, and I had soooooo much fun playing along!

I don't think I have done that many pages in a single a week before! I completed 13 of the 15 challenges. :)

I am going to share the rest of my completes projects, although not in order. I skipped around while creating them, so I might as well skip around while sharing them.

Challenge #4 was to use one of the below images as our inspiration. I chose the bottom right.

Needless to say, this page was quick and easy. :) It literally took me only about 15 minutes. I should probably add journaling, huh? Yeah, it looks pretty naked without it.
