Scraps and Ink

CSI #12

Hi all!

This is the very first monochromatic challenge over at CSI, and I must say, I was not quite sure I wanted to give it a go. But after I gathered these lovely "Lost and Found" papers by MME, I knew exactly what photos I would use and the whole page just came together.

Since we were encouraged to use something "unexpected"  to hold our journaling, I added mine to a strip of paper, rolled it up and tucked it inside the glass bottle at the bottom of the page. :)

I journaled about how I have changed my profile pic several times over the years and I think the changes have been for the better as I am much happier with my current pic.

All the pretty papers.....

Hi all!

I have a really fun page to share! 

This page was done with some of the new "Sketchbook" papers by Amy Tangerine. Such a fun, whimsical vibe to this collection- perfect for this cute pic of our new cat, Oliver, trying to eat my scrapbook embellies. I walked into my office, and he had his head buried in this metal tin fishing for a piece of ribbon that I had caught him with earlier (and had taken away). I had tried to hide it from him in the tin, and the little stinker found it! Such a silly boy. :)

I was lucky enough to meet Amy Tan herself at CHA, and she was truly a sweetheart and happy to send me home with some of her newest (and most fabulous) papers. LOVE these!

Unfortunately, I did not have any embellies that matched, so I made my own. :) The flowers in the bottom left corner are punched and cut from a sheet of patterned paper and adhered to the page with foam tape for dimension. I drew the black stems and leaves with a black pen onto the background kraft cardstock, and used an embossing pen and white embossing powder for the white stems and leaves.

Chillin'

Hi all!

I have been dying to share this next page I did with the cutest photo of my girls hanging out (literally) on the swing set when they were just tiny! First, I simply must tell you about the ECraft electronic cutter by Craftwell! LOVE this machine!!! It works kind of like many of the other electronic cutters out there, but does not take those expensive cartidges. Instead, it takes an SD card AND can be used with images from your computer. How cool is that! For the page below, I used the SD card that comes with the machine to cut the hexagons (all the rage right now), title letters and daisies. Summery, little girl pages always look better with daisies, don't you think?

I used some of the new papers by MME (Miss Caroline & Follow Your Heart) for this page, as well as a tiny bit of old Crate Paper. The ribbon and red polka-dot brad is The Girls' Paperie.

Happy Together

This page I just HAD to do because this is my most FAVE couple in the whole world!!! These are our best friends, Charles and Tina, the most sickeningly adorable newlyweds you will ever see. :)

LOVE LOVE LOVE them both so much!

I used some of the "Random" collection by Crate Paper as well as some colorful washi tape (LOVE that stuff) and twine.

I took this photo of Charles and Tina last summer at the Savor Idaho food & wine event. It was our second time attending this event with them, and we had sooooo much fun! It has become one of our new traditions and needless to say, we already have our tickets purchased for this year's event. :)

Wow- I really am behind on posting my CSI pages, so I will be posting several over the next day or so. :)

These photos were taken at the Perfume shops in EPCOT France. Anna was in heaven!!! :)

from stamps and rub-ons.
