It is reveal time once again at Color Combos Galore! I LOVE playing along with the great palettes she chooses, even if some of them leave me stumped on occasion. The last two have been super fun, though. Just look at the two palettes below and who would NOT want to play along? AND it gives me a chance to dig through my ancient stash of papers every once in awhile to find just the right colors!
And below is my take. One of my fave pages!
Materials: Patterned paper- MME (melon stripe), Basic Grey (white ledger), Studio Calico (orange lattice), Lily Bee (orange dot), Pebbles (teal); alpha stickers- Bella BLVD (teal, grey, white circles); chipboard butterflies- Pink Paislee; resin flowers- Prima (orange, teal), American Crafts (white, red); wooden flower- KaiserCraft; paint- Delta Creative; bakers twine- MME; rhinestones- KaiserCraft; border punches- Martha Stewart Crafts (double scallop), Fiskars (large scallop); stamp- Jillibean Soup.
My teal did not photograph as dark as it is IRL, so it looks a bit off from the original palette, but it's still in the range it needs to be. Did I mention how much I love this page? The flowers cascading down the page was a happy accident. I had already stuck one of the resin flowers down with a glue dot up in the top right corner, and as I started to add a second flower next to it, the flower fell out of my hand and stuck itself much lower than intended. This was NOT where it was supposed to go! So as I sat pondering how to fix my oops, in my frustration, I tossed the rest of my handful of resin flowers onto the page (they did not have glue dots at this time). The flowers just kind of fell in a cascading pattern and I knew that was the way they wanted to stay. So after a good dose of glue dots, I had my neat little cascading flower arrangement down the page. Yup, happy accident.
The next palette was actually last week's palette but I am just now posting it (been a busy week).
Aren't these colors just so dreamy? So of course I had to do a page about one of the dreamiest places on earth!

Materials: patterned paper- MME (polka dots, mauve), Basic Grey (background, light blue); alpha stickers- American Crafts; butterfly- source unknown; doilies- Martha Stewart Crafts; sheer ribbon- Offray; rose trim- JoAnn's; spray mist (to dye flower trim)- Tattered Angels; border punches- Fiskars (large and small scallop), Martha Stewart Crafts (floral scallop); pearls- KaiserCraft; rhinestone/pearl swirl- Prima. The white flowers and pearl leaves are from a wedding headpiece I found at a garage sale I bought and scrapped for parts. :)
