So if you are visiting my blog today, then you must have come from Brittny's blog here, and you're one step closer to winning yourself some FAB new Best Creation product! Isn't this just so much fun??? You get to hop from blog to blog collection the different "flowers" made by each of the Best Creation Design Team members and learn some FAB new techniques along the way! My flower is one of my absolute FAVES to make! I learned this technique from fab designer, Betsy Veldman, and I'm so glad I can share it with you!
This is the "Sewn & Notched Flower":
Isn't this flower just so fun and pretty?! I have to say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE that Best Creation has so many different colors of their glitter dot papers! This flower was "sew" fun and easy to make! I just cut five different sizes of circles from five different glitter dot papers using my handy dandy scalloped edge scissors. I stacked each circle, using a tiny drop of glue to hold them in place. I then flipped them over and drew straight lines on the back to divide into 8 pie-shaped sections. I sewed over my pencil lines and then cut notches to create 8 "petals". I used my fingers to gently curl the sections to create a lovely frilly effect. So pretty!
To finish off the center of my flower, I typed my sentiment repeatedly onto white cardstock and then punched it out using a scallop circle punch. A soft pink pearl brad for the center and I was done and ready to add my flower to my framed background!
So there you have it, the "Sewn & Notched Flower". Now you are ready to hop over to Kim's blog to collect your next flower here: Kim Arledge.
Happy Hopping!
