Ahhhh! I am back from CHA (got back late Thursday night), and I am ready to get my scrap on!!!! So glad to be home, but now my recouperative weekend is over, and it is time to create!
I am the Guest Designer for A Million Memories for the month of February, and they sent me some fabulous product to work with! I got the goodies on Friday, and I finished a couple pages while Andy watched the Superbowl yesterday.
A MOTHER'S TOUCH
Close-ups:
There are a couple things about the above page that I just have to mention: The FABULOUS and beautiful transparency background is by Best Creation- another company I currently design for. They have so many amazing transparencies- like no others I have ever seen! And the crocheted flowers are from my own stash I have had floating around my office for years. I just love it when I finally find the perfect use for my old stuff!

LUCKY WINNER

The above is a busy, busy page, but I love it! The title has a "double meaning" since we were in Vegas for Andy's b-day when I took the photo. Isn't he handsome? And he co-oporates well for photos.

So I did a seriously flakey thing while I was in CA. Okay, just plain dumb, really. I had so much stuff to bring home (products and freebies), and since one of my pieces of luggage broke, I decided to go to the UPS store in the hotel and ship two boxes of stuff home. And since I was not using them anymore, I also shipped home my big 12" paper trimmer, lefty scissors, a couple hole punches, my favorite black pens, my Xacto blade, and two new bottles of glue. Less to try to cram in the only suitcase I had left. Smart, right?
Um.....not so much: I didn't realize that I would get home a week before my boxes did. SO, I had to go out Saturday and buy new scissors and glue. I didn't buy the other supplies- thankfully I have an old back-up trimmer I keep around for emergencies just like this. I am trying to not need my hole punches and Xacto, but it is hard when they are the basic tools that I use on almost every layout. But at least now I will have a back-up pair of lefty scissors.
later,
