Cocoa Daisy Crop Challenge #12

For this challenge at Cocoa Daisy, we were given five color palettes and told to choose one to use on our page.

The list of palettes is here.

I chose the first palette.  The page also had to have at least two photos and something "shiny" on it.

I used two of my favorite photos of the girls from our last trip to WDW. And of course, anyone who knows me also knows I put a hidden "Mickey" on all of my Disney pages. Can you find it?

Cocoa Daisy Crop Challenge #2

So for this challenge over at Cocoa Daisy, we had to create chevrons. Love me some chevrons! :)

I used this fave photo of Anna's cat, Shadow, for my page. And he literally is her shadow! He follows her everywhere!!!

To create my chevrons, I cut 1" squares from patterned paper, cut them at a diagonal and added them to my page in a sort of "brick layered" fashion. I machine stitched the "seams" so they were not as visible.

I also used my Pazzles Inspiration electronic cutter to cut out the little paw prints from my flags under the photo.

Materials List:

Cardstock- Carta Bella; patterned paper- Basic Grey (orange check, brown, multi, cat image), Lily Bee (blue, yellow); lettering stickers- American Crafts;  border punch- Fiskars; string- My Mind's Eye; black pen- Faber-Castell.

Last of the Basic Grey

Where has the time gone?!!! I'll tell you- it just flew by during a crazy busy summer!!!

Andy, the girls and I (as well as two extra teenage girls) took a 10-day road trip to Chicago for a family reunion. SOOOOOOO many cool stops along the way! Did tons of fun stuff and even crossed a couple things off the bucket list. Woohoo!!!

I stayed busy up on the mountain working in Silver City for the summer. Both the Sci-Fi and National Geographic Channel filmed in the hotel for episodes of a couple of different series'. Fun stuff. 

Andy and I celebrated our 18-yr anniversary in Seattle and on the Washington coast in a fabulous little beach cottage. Had the BEST time and found our new fave getaway!!!  

Ashley turned 16, is driving, and got her first car. (This would worry most other parents, but she is a stellar driver, so I have great faith in her.)

Anna is her usual gorgeous, smart, sweet self. :)
